Here is our story............................

In 2007, a few Village of Panama residents along with the town board and the fire department started conversations about building a new community center. It was felt that our Village was growing enough to support a building that could be used by everyone. Many meetings were held, and support poured in. Discussions were held about where and when this center could be built. The Village residents were more than happy to donate funds for this adventure, however, there was not really an entity that could accept such funds, so.... the Panama Area Community Foundation was created.

Fundraisers were held at the ballpark, on the trails and during Village celebrations. A brick fund was created to aid in raising money for the new community center.

Each line item in the Foundation Finances reassured our Village that this was a great effort.

Once the Community Center was built and paid for, efforts of the Foundation focused on Community items and needs of our residents.

The Foundation is strong and works with the Village Board, the Fire Department, our local Church and our Bank. Bringing together all resources available in our little Village and creating a community where people like to live.
